Tolleson Radon Testing

Radon gas is a common-place cancer-causing agent. Radon gas is known to instigate lung cancer in humans. Many houses in the Tolleson area have a radon gas concentration higher than the DNS action level.

Radon filters out of the dirt, not the building. No house- new or old – is immune to radon gas.

Every house interfaces with the soil beneath it differently. That is why properties next door may have dramatically different radon concentrations.

Radon saturation will fluctuate daily and with the seasons within a normal range. A quick radon measurement measures a small period and is a solid indicator of whether or not the land has a radon gas issue.

Radon has a dangerous duration of only days. As such, radon gas accumulation will not increase if the property is enclosed for months or years.

How Does Radon Infiltrate the Home?

No house is completely gas-proof.

Radon may infiltrate through any grounded vent in the home such as drains, plumbing pipes, and even small cracks in the foundation’s concrete.

The method to know with confidence the levels of radon in the home is to conduct a radon test.

Your Radon Testing Method

Probing a house for radon gas is an important process when done as a part of a property transaction.

Our radon gas professional will position the radon gas analyzers on the property. Radon detectors will be placed in crawl spaces, the level above crawl spaces, and any room touching the earth. Typically, a few monitors are located in the house for the radon test.

Your radon gas expert will shut windows, shut the damper on the chimney, and confirm the heater or AC is running in the prescribed manner. The radon gas technician will additionally mark any required window with tamper indication tape to confirm that ventilation conditions are met.

The radon gas monitors are left in the house for two or three days to measure the amount of radon gas in the property. An expert will revisit the home after the radon measurement is done to remove the analyzers and write a report.

Contact us today for a zero-cost pricing estimate! Our radon testing experts will come to visit to hear about your property, measure the area, and get you on target on making your Tolleson home one you can take pride in!
