Anthem Radon Testing

Why Care About Radon Gas?

Radon is a dangerous carcinogen. It is scientifically proven to cause lung cancer in children and adults.

Many houses in the Anthem area have a radon concentration at or above the carcinogenic level.

Radon naturally occurs in the soil, not the home. No property, newly built or longstanding, is fully encapsulated against radon intrusion.

Every house meshes with the topsoil underneath it in a different way. That is why houses adjacent to one another have majorly different radon gas concentrations.

Radon saturation will rise or fall every day and monthly inside an acceptable range. A short-term radon sample measures a small time period and is an accurate bellwether of whether or not the property has a radon accumulation.

Radon has a half-life of only a few days. Accordingly, radon gas accumulation won’t be greater if the property is sealed for days, months, or years.

How Does Radon Gas Penetrate the House?

No dwelling is totally airtight.

Gas can seep in through each grounded vent in the structure such as sump drains, pipeworks, and even minor flaws in the foundation’s concrete.

The way to know certainly the concentration of radon in the structure is to run a radon test.

Our Radon Testing Method

Measuring a property for radon is a special process when delivered as a part of a real estate transaction.

A radon gas expert will place the radon analyzers in the house. Radon analyzers will be dropped off in crawl spaces and on the first floor. Typically between one and three, analyzers are placed in the home for the radon measurement.

Your radon technician will seal every window, seal the damper on the fireplace, and ensure the heater or AC is running in the standard manner. Your radon gas specialist will additionally mark every required window with tamper-proof tape to make sure that draft requirements are maintained.

The radon gas monitors are stored in the house for several days to record the prevalence of radon gas in the property. A technician will revisit the building once the radon test is finished to remove the analyzers and create a report.

Please call today for a no-cost estimate! Our radon testing consultants will come to visit to learn more about your property, measure the area, and get you going on making your Anthem home one you can enjoy completely!
