Waddell Radon Testing

What Should I Know About Radon?

Radon is a common-place cancer-causing chemical. Radon is known to lead to lung cancer in people.

Many properties in the Waddell area have a radon concentration at or above the dangerous limit.

Radon gas naturally occurs in the soil, not the structure. No property, new or old, is immune to radon.

Every house interacts with the topsoil underneath it uniquely. This is part of the reason why houses next to each other often have radically different radon gas accumulation.

Radon concentration will shift on different days and seasonally inside an acceptable range. A quick radon gas sample measures a small period and is a dependable metric of whether or not the land has a radon gas accumulation.

Radon has a dangerous duration of only days. This means that radon gas saturation won’t be any higher if the property is closed for years or months.

How Does Radon Infiltrate a Property?

It may surprise you to know that homes are not draft-proof.

Gaseous contaminants can enter through any ground-facing gap in the structure such as sump pumps, pipeworks, and minor gaps in the concrete foundation.

Your way to know with certainty the levels of radon gas in the abode is to contract a radon test.

Our Radon Gas Test Procedures

Sampling a home for radon gas is a unique process when delivering a property purchase.

Your radon professional will install the radon probes in the dwelling. Radon probes will be placed on any level that touches the ground. Normally between one and three analyzers are left in the structure for the radon gas test.

Our radon gas professional will seal every window, seal the vent on the fireplace, and make certain the heating and cooling system is running in the prescribed manner. Our radon professional will additionally mark every necessary window with tamper indication tape to ensure that ventilation standards are upheld.

The radon gas devices are left in the home for 2-3 days recording the prevalence of radon gas in the property. An expert will revisit the house once the radon test is finished to remove the probes and create a report.

Please call today at 480-531-8913 for a no-pressure price estimate! Our radon testing staff will come to visit to learn more about your property, measure your space, and get you started on making your Waddell home one you can take pride in!
